I am a surveyor and am mainly working in software development for (digital) photogrammetry.

My family and I are living in the small village Hausen a.T.
Since 06.07.02 we have some some solar panels on the roof top of our house. I try to keep the energy output up to date on a daily basis.
Besides family and work there are some spare time activities with which I spent more or less of my time.
Music. Music plays an important role in my life since a long time. I have been playing various instruments (Trumpet, Tuba, Horn, Clarinet) in our local wind band in the last 35 years. Also, I am responsible for the musical education for our younger ones. More than 25 years ago I used to play with four other musicians in the dance band "Early Birds". Nowadays, I play a little guitar just for fun. Our children have music lessons and are playing also in the wind band (Clarinet/Oboe, Trombone, Flute); therefore quite often somebody is making music in our home.
Sports. Unfortunately an old knee injury is making problems more and more so that I had to reduce my sports activities in the last months. I am an enthusiastic downhill skier. During summertime I try to do some orienteering from time to time but unfortunately I have to drive rather long distances for these events. I had to reduce or quit the other sports I used to do (football, badminton, jogging). It seems that I have to change to bycicle riding and swimming. Now they are planning a golf course in Hausen; therefore I started to play golf, too (yes, I know it is not sports, it´s just a game). I made an Excel-Addin in order to print scorecards and to analyse golf tournaments (Stableford); our tournaments used to be managed and evaluated by this tool.
Church. For almost 20 years I have been active in the catholic parish of Hausen as a member of the parish board.
Geocaching: I got a GPS-receiver as a gift during a stay in Finland in 2000. Short time later a found something about geocaching and now I go out alone or with my family and friends for treasure hunting from time to time.
Others. Of course social life must have its place, too. My class mates from school play an important role in this area. And I am a founding member of 40plus.
